Cheddar Cheese Snacks

Prior to 1850, nearly all the cheese produced in the United States was Cheddar. Cheddar production in Wisconsin began in the mid 1800's and by 1880, more Cheddar was produced in Wisconsin than any other cheese variety. Today it accounts for over half of the cheese made in the state, which makes Wisconsin the leader in U.S. Cheddar production.

Gourmet Products follows this same rich cheesemaking tradition to produce a rich, nutty flavored cheddar with a smooth, firm texture that becomes more granular and crumbly with age. Great as a snack with sandwiches. Also try it with apples, pears, onions or tomatoes. Goes well with red wines such as Zinfandel or Merlot; pale ales or stout beers.

INGREDIENTS: Pasteurized part-skim milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes and Annatto (tasteless, odorless vegetable dye made from the seed of the annatto plant).
